Findon Technical College officially opens

The $37.35 million Findon Technical College opened its doors to students and staff for the first time on Monday 29 January. It’s the first of five new technical colleges which will provide skills training to hundreds of South Australian secondary school students over the years ahead in collaboration with key industry partners.

Co-located with Findon High School, the technical college will provide students from years 10 to 12 the opportunity to learn in state-of-the-art facilities as they complete their SACE and start a career in some of South Australia’s fastest growing industries including early childhood and education, advanced manufacturing and engineering and health and social care.

Every element of Findon Technical College has been designed to ensure hands-on, project-based learning that is valued by industry, with the latest technology and industry standard equipment.

In 2024, over 230 students will enrol in Findon Technical College, developing their skills for jobs in key industry sectors here in South Australia.

Further colleges are opening soon in areas with high demand, evenly spread throughout the metropolitan area and in the larger regional areas.
