Get hands-on industry training, part-time

Get hands-on experience and all the skills you need to step straight into a career in health and social support.

You can even complete the first year of a nursing or allied health degree at Flinders University while in year 12. This will fast-track your career in nursing, social work, speech pathology, occupational therapy or physiotherapy.

What you'll learn

All topics contribute to your VET qualifications and SACE.

  • Exploring Identities and Futures: Hybrid learning - 10 Stage 1 SACE credits
  • Workplace Practices: Introduction to Health Industries and Employability Skills - 20 stages 1 SACE credits
  • First Aid and CPR Training: Learn essential life-saving skills

Your school will support you to gain 10 days of work experience in collaboration with the college, giving you a taste of the real world!

  • Activating Identities and Futures: Hybrid learning - 10 Stage 2 SACE credits
  • Workplace Practices: Employability Skills Program - 20 Stage 1 SACE credits
  • CHC33021 Certificate III Individual Support – 125 Stage 2 SACE credits
  • Allied Health short course – 20 Stage 2 SACE credits

Option to complete the Enabling Studies Program for university entry without needing an ATAR.

Your school will support you in completing 120 hours of work placement required for your qualification, in collaboration with the college.

Earn while you learn through a school-based traineeship, gaining valuable on-the-job experience and an income.

  • Health Support Worker
  • Direct Care Worker

Option to complete the first year of an aligned university degree

Consider studying the first year of:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (pre-registration)
  • Bachelor of Social Work
