What you'll learn

All topics contribute to your VET qualifications and SACE.

  • Build foundational skills in workplace practices, safety, and industry-specific literacy and numeracy
  • Participate in structured work experience with leading industry employers
  • Explore personal strengths and future opportunities through the Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF) compulsory SACE subject
  • Engage in project-based, practical learning within real-world advanced manufacturing and engineering settings
  • Discover career pathways and plan your future through
    targeted career exploration activities

  • Attain the MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, along with advanced industry-relevant skills
  • Develop essential language, literacy, numeracy, and broader workplace skills
  • Activate personal strengths and future opportunities through the Activating Identities and Futures (AIF) compulsory SACE subject, aligned with a career in advanced manufacturing and engineering
  • Participate in structured work placements with leading advanced manufacturing and engineering industry employers
  • Option to complete the Enabling Studies Program for university entry
  • Fulfil all compulsory SACE requirements

Earn while you learn by completing the first year of an apprenticeship, gaining valuable on-the-job experience and an income or commence your first year of a degree.

Achieve the SACE while gaining real-world industry skills, fast-tracking your advanced manufacturing and engineering career.

Apprenticeship

Options can include:

  • Engineering technician
  • Engineering tradesperson (fabrication)
  • Engineering tradesperson (mechanical)
  • Engineering tradesperson (electrical/electronics).

Continue and complete your apprenticeship for careers such as:

  • Boilermaker
  • Engineering technician
  • Fitter and turner/machinist
  • Mechanical fitter
  • Pipe fitter
  • Sheet metal fabricator
  • Welder (first class).

University

Options can include:

  • Bachelor of Design and Technology
  • Bachelor of Engineering (various)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology (various).

Continue and complete your degree for careers such as:

  • Advanced manufacturing and digital design engineer
  • Mechanical engineer
  • Robotics engineer
  • Software engineer.
