Industry-based training

Fast-track to Flinders University

In a nation-leading initiative, Findon Technical College students can complete the first year of an aligned degree with Flinders University while in year 12.

Industry-based training

Findon Technical College offers full-time industry training programs in 3 industry areas, co-designed with leading employers to make sure students are well-prepared for success in their chosen careers.

These programs are delivered by registered training organisations (RTOs), industry trainers, teachers, and employers, providing an integrated, practical learning experience.

Each program includes vocational education and training (VET), the Australian Curriculum (for year 10 only), and South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) subjects. These are delivered through a project-based learning approach that reflects real-world industry practice.

Students develop valuable industry knowledge and workplace skills, so by the time they complete their SACE and finish school, they are well on their career pathway through an apprenticeship, employment or university.

The technical college difference:

Focus on learning the skills and knowledge you need for your dream career. No unrelated subjects—just what matters to your career.

We cover your uniforms, a laptop, and VET costs. You only pay a small materials and services fee.

Our training programs are developed with top employers, so you know you're gaining real-world skills.

Train in spaces with the latest industry-standard equipment, designed to feel like a real workplace.

Get hands-on experience in the workplace while you study, building the skills you need for your future career.

Benefit from coaching, wellbeing support and career advice from educators and employer partners.

Start your apprenticeship or university degree in year 12. By the time you graduate, you'll have a year of experience and your SACE, plus 12 months of support after graduation as you transition into work or further study.
