Get hands-on experience with the latest industrial technologies and the skills you need to step straight into a career in defence, engineering and high-tech manufacturing.

You can even complete the first year of a Bachelor of Engineering (various) at Flinders University while in year 12, fast-tracking your career as an engineer.

  • Develop your language, literacy, numeracy and workplace skills
  • Focus on your strengths and future through the Activating Identities and Futures (AIF) SACE subject, aligned with a career in advanced manufacturing and engineering
  • Get work placements with leading industry employers
  • Option to complete the Enabling Studies Program for university entry
  • Complete all SACE requirements

Earn while you learn by completing the first year of an apprenticeship, gaining valuable on-the-job experience and an income or commence your first year of a degree.

Achieve the SACE while gaining real-world industry skills, fast-tracking your advanced manufacturing and engineering career.

Apprenticeship

Options can include:

  • Engineering technician
  • Engineering tradesperson (fabrication)
  • Engineering tradesperson (mechanical)
  • Engineering tradesperson (electrical/electronics).

Continue and complete your apprenticeship for careers such as:

  • Boilermaker
  • Engineering technician
  • Fitter and turner/machinist
  • Mechanical fitter
  • Pipe fitter
  • Sheet metal fabricator
  • Welder (first class).

University

Options can include:

  • Bachelor of Design and Technology
  • Bachelor of Engineering (various)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Technology (various).

Continue and complete your degree for careers such as:

  • Advanced manufacturing and digital design engineer
  • Mechanical engineer
  • Robotics engineer
  • Software engineer.
