Georgette Elston, BAE Systems Australia's Head of Resourcing and Early Careers, praised Findon Technical College for its innovative approach.
"We’re a growing business, hiring more than 50 apprentices a year. Our apprenticeships range from fabrication to pipefitting, electricians, electronic assemblers and machinists," Ms Elston stated.
BAE and ASC have now signed on as employer partners at The Heights Technical College. ASC is also partnering with Tonsley Technical College.
Findon Technical College is the first of five technical colleges planned across metropolitan and regional South Australia. Port Augusta Technical College is set to open in mid-2025, with Tonsley, The Heights, and Mount Gambier following in 2026.
